Vegas Retold

The history of Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino

Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino was a smaller hotel-casino near the Las Vegas Strip on East Flamingo Road. One unusually clear chapter in its business history survives in Crown Casino Corporation’s own financial filing: an agreement to buy the property in July 1995 was abandoned that November.

An announced casino sale is not the same as a completed change of ownership. Crown’s filing records a proposed $10 million purchase, followed by its decision to withdraw and write off its deposit and related costs. The document helps distinguish plans for Bourbon Street from events that actually happened.

What remains uncertain

  • The selected 1995 corporate filing documents a proposed acquisition and its abandonment; it does not establish original opening or final closing dates.
  • This page does not merge the former hotel-casino with similarly named modern sports bars.
