The 2001 Ocean's Eleven, with George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, made the Bellagio the most famous casino in the world to rob, though the 1960 Rat Pack original robbed five casinos in one night, before this place even existed. The film’s giant vault was a movie set; the cage is where visitors bring their chips to cash out. But a chip and a banknote are not quite the same prize. Life imitated art in December 2010, when a real robber in a motorcycle helmet grabbed about $1.5 million in chips from a Bellagio craps table, only to discover that chips aren't cash, and the Bellagio promptly retired its $25,000 chip. So have a good look at the cage, and if you ever do win big, this is where you'll cash out, no crew of eleven required.
