Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa and Casino

Green Valley Ranch opened in Henderson on December 18, 2001, as a resort for a growing community beyond the Strip. Station Casinos developed it jointly with GCR Gaming, principally owned by the Greenspun family. Each partner held half the venture. Green Valley Ranch opened in Henderson on December 18, 2001, as a resort for a growing community beyond the Strip. Station Casinos developed it jointly with GCR Gaming, principally owned by the Greenspun family. Each partner held half the venture. The opening company report placed the resort on 40 acres within a larger mixed-use development near the 215 Beltway and Green Valley Parkway.

The Mediterranean architecture and landscaped outdoor spaces made the hotel-casino feel different from a roadside gambling hall. Its restaurants, cinema, spa and pool complex gave nearby residents reasons to visit without booking a room, while the hotel and meeting spaces served overnight and business guests. The surrounding neighborhood was part of the resort’s purpose, rather than simply the location of its address.

The property grew in stages. Company filings describe a further group of restaurants, a parking garage, sportsbook and poker room opening in October 2006, followed by an entertainment lounge in May 2007. These were additions to the existing Green Valley Ranch, not new casino identities.

A change in ownership followed the financial crisis. In March 2011, the newly formed Station Casinos company announced an agreement to acquire the resort’s assets for $500 million through a bankruptcy reorganization. Its subsequent filing records the completed acquisition and full ownership, replacing the earlier joint-venture arrangement. The property continued within the Station family under the Green Valley Ranch name.

Renovation has remained part of its later history. For the twentieth anniversary in 2021, the operator announced a redesigned Drop Bar. In December 2025, it reported that the West Tower’s rooms had been renovated as part of a wider property transformation, while other rooms and facilities were still described as planned work. Those announcements should not be read as proof that every proposed phase was already complete.

When checked in October 2026, Green Valley Ranch remained an operating hotel-casino at 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway. The name also belongs to a wider Henderson community; the map here identifies the casino-building area, rather than that entire neighborhood.
