Glitter Gulch opened on Fremont Street in 1980, with the neon cowgirl Vegas Vickie as its best-known landmark. The venue operated until 2016 and was demolished for the development of Circa Resort and Casino, which opened in 2020.

Vegas Vickie survived the disappearance of her original setting. The sign was restored and relocated inside Circa, preserving a recognizable piece of Fremont Street’s neon landscape.

This property record refers to the former venue. “Glitter Gulch” is also a nickname for Fremont Street more broadly. The illustration preserves the supplied historical view, including the neighboring Sassy Sally’s sign; that neighboring business is a separate property.
